The Arts Facet cultivates artistic expression in African American students across multiple disciplines and promotes works by artists of color. Classics Through the Ages is our National Signature Arts education and mentoring program that affords exemplary student artists the opportunity to hone their talents and skills and earn recognition and support for their education and career pursuits.

- Brought the $1 million production, “Off the Walls and Onto tHe Stage: Dancing the Art of Jonathan Green. Nearly 1200 attended the event at the Dominion Energy Center. Over 500 attended the pre-event matinee from Richmond Public Schools
- Our Donuts and Documentaries series takes place at the Virginia Museum of History and Culture occurs four times a year and allows us to bring often unsung, hidden, or untold histories of people of African decent with direct ties to the Richmond area.
- Sponsored students from Richmond Public Schools to attend the hit Broadway play, “Frozen”, when it arrived at thE Altria Theatre. For most of the students, it was their first time experiencing live theatre.
- Sponsored local student participation in the Links Eastern Area's Young Master Writers Competition and the National Poster Art Competition.
- Hosted a jazz education workshop for students featuring acclaimed local professional musicians.
- Provided financial support that enabled a gifted student artist to participate in The Richmond Symphony's Youth Orchestra summer session and other advanced training.
