The Health and Human Services Facet aims to reduce the chronic health disparities that persist in black communities.  
James River Valley (VA) Chapter has:
  • Conduct annual webinar series, seminars, and walk-a-thons  to increase awareness and provide a platform for community to ask questions of leaders in the health field.
  • Co-sponsored, with Be the Match annual events since 2015 to increase the number of African Americans in the national Bone Marrow registry.
  • ​Led workshops for seniors in the Northside Richmond community on diabetes prevention and management over 3 years and provided financial support to the American Diabetes Association.
National Donor Sabbath
